Joel James MS, has this week joined the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists at the Welsh Parliament to celebrate their 80th anniversary.
With 2025 being a monumental year for the organisation, it's a brilliant time to shine a light on the speech and language therapy profession and all the amazing work they do to transform the lives of people with speech, language and communication needs.
The event provided an opportunity for Members to reflect on the speech and language therapy profession over the last 80 years and hear about the launch of their new report on the state of speech and language therapy in Wales.
Speaking after the event, Joel James MS said:
I was delighted to have attended the 80th birthday celebrations of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists this week in the Welsh Parliament.
As someone who had to go through speech and language therapy, I know first hand the invaluable work that they do.
I'm fully behind their new report, which they launched on the day, and which provides several recommendations that will help support their vital services in the future.
