Senedd Member Joel James has launched a competition to find South Wales Central’s Best Fish and Chip Shop of 2024!
The competition promises to be a celebration of the region’s outstanding establishments, with South Wales Central covering Rhondda Cynon Taf, Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.
The award of South Wales Central’s Best Fish and Chip Shop will be awarded to an overall winner voted for by residents, with a further selection of fish and chip shops selected as area winners.
Area winners, voted by residents, will follow Welsh Parliamentary constituencies of Pontypridd, Rhondda, Cynon Valley, Cardiff West, Cardiff North, Cardiff Central, Cardiff South and Penarth and the Vale of Glamorgan to acknowledge the wide variety of businesses across the region.
The fish and chip shop which receives the most nominations will be awarded Joel James MS’ Best Fish and Chip Shop Award 2024.

Nominations will open on Wednesday 9th October and will close at 4pm on Friday 29th November.
