Responding to fire union boss Duncan Stewart-Bell warning a lack of firefighters is putting lives at danger in Wales, Joel James MS, Shadow Minister for Social Partnership, said:
This stark warning should focus minds in Welsh Government.
With morale in the fire service undoubtably suffering in recent times, it’s vital that we do all we can to ensure people are recruited into the service.
Instead of focusing on putting more politicians in the Senedd, Labour should be fixing the bread-and-butter issues like properly staffing out fire service.
