This morning (25th November), Joel James MS took the time to attend Llanishen Park parkrun to support Paul Scanlon and his #Team Shrimp.
Having first met Paul during a visit to Maggie’s Cardiff, Joel was invited to support Paul at his return to Llanishen Park Parkrun a year after his last run and his cancer surgery.
Paul was diagnosed with Stage 3 Bowel Cancer in April 2022. After treatment to remove the large bowel, a permanent colostomy Stoma was put in place, which Paul affectionately calls Shrimp. Paul is now raising vital funds for Maggie’s Cardiff who supported him through his journey.

It was great to meet up with Paul and #TeamShrimp this morning at Llanishen Park parkrun, raising awareness and turning it orange for Maggie's Cardiff.
