Senedd Member Joel James MS has today met with the PLANED team who run a community-led partnership in Narbeth, Pembrokeshire.
PLANED have over 30 years experience of implementing integrated rural development through supporting enterprise, sustainable agriculture and tourism, heritage and environmental activities, through community engagement and participation.
With its Board members being representatives from communities and the public and private sectors, the organisation also works with geographic communities and communities of interest to identify, develop and implement sustainable projects that improve the well-being of the community with a focus on long-term, integrated, collaborative actions.
Speaking about his visit, Joel James MS said:
It was really great to meet with PLANED recently in Narbeth to discuss a range of issues involving my Shadow Portfolio and how Third Sector organisations, such as themselves, can help their communities and fill the gaps that are sometimes left by councils and governments.
Such inspiring individuals, doing a lot of great work for their area - I'm looking forward to working with them to see what can be delivered in South Wales Central as well.
