Last Friday, Joel James MS lent his support to the Tesco Winter Food Collection in partnership with the Trussell Trust.
Joel expressed his gratitude to John, Imogen, and the dedicated staff and volunteers at Trussell for their tireless efforts in organizing this initiative, which encourages donations to the Cardiff Foodbank. Founded in 2009, Cardiff Foodbank plays a vital role in supporting local families in need, and its city centre distribution hub is, sadly, one of the busiest in the United Kingdom.
Joel was pleased to take part in the collection drive at Tesco, Culverhouse Cross, and help raise awareness about the crucial work of foodbanks - particularly during the festive season when the demand for support often increases.
Commenting after the event, Joel said:
The volunteers do such a fantastic job at Cardiff Foodbank that I was determined to do everything that I could help. I've attended the Tesco Winter Food Collection for a number of years, and the dedication of everyone involved is inspirational. Sadly, we live in a time where foodbanks exist, so it's important that we do everything that we can to support them.
