As part of Joel James MS' social media series- Throwback Thursday, Joel has shared a petition he received from Sharon Ford and Laraunt Sebastian Davies with his former Petition Committee Members Peredur Owen Griffiths AS/MS and Jack Sargeant MS.
The petition received on behalf of petitioner Claire Ford, has 8,494 paper signatures and is calling on the Welsh Government for a vape licence for dedicated vape shops to be introduced. The petition is now being considered by the Petitions Committee.
Speaking about the petition, Joel said:
Despite no longer being on the Petitions Committee after the Cabinet reshuffle, I agree that more needs to be done to stop illegal devices being sold in Wales. Problems can occur with more readily available black-market vaping products and their dangerous consequences, with people mixing unregulated e-liquids and potentially increasing nicotine doses to unsafe amounts.
