MS for South Wales Central, Joel James has today visited Amgueddfa Cymru's new exhibition- Art of the Selfie at the National Museum in Cardiff.
The Vincent van Gogh self portrait, which has been loaned from Musée d'Orsay in Paris has been displayed in Wales for the first time as part of the new collection.
The collection, also features selfies from Rembrandt, Brenda Chamberlain, Frances Bacon, Bedwyr Williams and Anya Paintsil looks and asks how artists through time see and represent themselves.
The Art of the Selfie exhibition runs from 16 March 2024 until 26 January 2025, and visitors are encouraged to pay what they can for tickets.
Speaking about his visit, Joel said:
It has been such a beautiful day today in Cardiff today and I finally managed to visit Vincent van Gogh at the National Museum Cardiff. I had a fantastic afternoon and I would encourage everyone to visit before the exhibition closes in January.
