This week, for Joel James MS' 'Throwback Thursday' Facebook post, Joel has shared a meeting he had in March with Social Care Wales and BASW Cymru at the Welsh Parliament to mark Social Work Week 2024.
Social Work Week took place from Monday 18th to Friday 22nd March 2024 and brought people together to learn, connect and influence change. Now in its fourth year, it will build on discussions from past years and includes recognising World Social Work Day, which was held on 19th March.
Speaking about the meeting, Joel said:
It was great to meet with Social Care Wales and BASW Cymru back in March at the Senedd to mark Social Work Week 2024. It was brilliant to learn more about the profession in Wales and the issues and challenges faced by the workforce.
