Local Member of the Welsh Parliament, Joel James, visited Rhigos Primary School last week to campaign against its closure. Sadly, Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council are proposing to close the school, and send all it's pupils to HIrwaun - some considerable distance away.
Commenting on these proposals, Joel James MS said:
It is absolutely disappointing that once again, Labour-controlled RCT Council are consulting on closing a much loved school, in such a close-knit community.
I'll be doing all that I can to oppose this, and I would urge everyone else to do the same.
