Senedd Member and Efail Isaf Councillor Joel James MS was delighted to sponsor the village's annual Christmas tree switch-on outside the Carpenters Arms, held on Sunday 1st December.
Joel extended his thanks to Maria and Chris from the pub for their exceptional efforts in helping organise this much-loved community event.
Building on the success of last year’s fundraiser, which raised nearly £1,000 for charity, Joel hopes to surpass that amount this year. Donations collected during the event will support the Cystic Fibrosis Trust and DEBRA UK, two vital causes.
Community members can continue to contribute throughout the Christmas season, with raffle tickets and donation buckets available inside the Carpenters Arms.

I've been funding this event for a number of years, and it gets bigger and better every year - which is in no small part due to Maria and Chris' efforts! This event really brings the community together, and it was great to see the pub absolutely jam-packed.
