Joel James MS, Senedd Member for South Wales Central has visited the Royal British Legion's Battle Back Centre in Lilleshall with Senedd Members Darren Millar MS and James Evans MS as part of the Cross Party Group on Armed Forces and Cadets.
Officially opening in 2012, the Battle Back Centre is the first port of call for wounded, injured and sick service men and women as they start their Individual Recovery Program.
During the visit, Members met with representatives from the Royal British Legion, observed activities and spoke with beneficiaries of the service including Veterans who are hoping to take part in the Invictus Games 2025.
Speaking after the visit, Joel said:
It was great to visit the Royal British Legion's Battle Back Centre with my Welsh Parliament colleagues Darren Millar MS and James Evans MS, as part of the Cross Party Group on Armed Forces and Cadets. The Centre has been open since 2011, and does fantastic work supporting the recovery of wounded and injured service personnel - with many of them going on to represent the UK at the Invictus Games!
