Joel James MS for South Wales Central was pleased to visit the Core Project in Aberdare on the 14th of July to discuss exciting new ventures in the areas.
Joel learnt of how new business incubation and information hub ran by Our Aberdare is supporting ambitious regeneration plans which will benefit the entire region. The Business Improvement District (BID) aims to make Aberdare a hotspot for economic development and business growth in the Cynon Valley and wider area.
The project aims to ensure that a co-working space can allow continuing innovation by allowing the community and businesses to work together for the benefit of local residents. This collaborative idea is enhanced by Cwmpas which involves the Core project and other exciting projects such as Signposted Cymru and Food Adventure to support mental health.
What makes this project more exciting is how it was established by businesses in Aberdare through voting to form their own BID. This means Aberdare joins over 300 other BIDS across the UK, including Pontypridd.

"I am thrilled that businesses in Aberdare will benefit from having their own BID and are determined to work together to improve their town".
