Joel James MS, Senedd Member for South Wales Central has called out previous UK Labour Governments during his contribution in the Senedd this week.
Joel stated that every UK Labour Government has been defeated due to its economic record, which "has left us with higher taxes, higher national debt and higher unemployment".
Met with shouts from the Welsh Labour benches, Joel continued by stating, "A Sir Keir Starmer Government will mean higher taxes for ordinary men and women throughout Wales" and with this in mind, asked the First Minister what he has made of this impact on Wales and the Welsh economy.
Speaking outside the Chamber, Joel said:
Every Labour Government throughout its History has collapsed due to its economic record, and the next one, should they be elected on 4th July, will be no different. But remember- every Labour Government has left us with higher taxes, higher national debt, and higher unemployment. For some reason, Welsh Labour members in the Welsh Parliament didn't like to hear that.
