Responding to the Labour Cabinet Minister for Education's statement on the progress of the school curriculum reform in Wales, Joel James MS, Welsh Conservative Member for South Wales Central, said:
This update does nothing to appease concerns regarding the damaging decision to strip triple science from the curriculum and continue with a two-tiered system.
Science lessons are vital to ensure that the next generation of Welsh pupils are well-prepared for a job market that will increasingly demand the skills and knowledge acquired from Chemistry, Physics, and Biology.
The Welsh Conservatives would appropriately fund education in Wales, remove Labour’s reforms, ensure that the next generation of Welsh pupils leave school prepared for the future world of work and save Labour’s lost generation.
